PART ONE: TASKS

Working from the Bogglebang Master Task List, teams interpret Task’s descriptions and photograph the evidence of their accomplishments. Post these photos to Bluesky accompanied by a set of designated hashtags.

Example:
TASK 01: #GoatScarf
Put a scarf on a goat.

Interpret the task, photograph your version of it and upload the image/video to Bluesky labeled as so:

#GoatScarf #TeamName #GuildName #Bogglebang2026 @bogglebang.bsky.social

See more examples from past Bogglebang Scavenger Hunts on Twitter

Note: Hashtags should contain no spaces. Also Bluesky posts must be no more than 300 characters, so abbreviate your team name if it is inordinately long (especially with Bluesky’s format using .bsky.social at the end of each profile).

Points for Tasks: Using a mysterious point system, team are awarded a minimum 1 point for every task they complete. Some tasks will emphasize an opportunity for more points by meeting specified conditions; points for style, theme, puns, etc.

Using a set of hashtags, teams may nominate themselves for bonus points with each task. Another set of hashtags may be used to nominate their team members for special role-based achievements. Additionally, combinations of Tasks, when all completed, will unlock hidden bonuses.

PART TWO: RIDDLES

Inside the Master Task List, you will find a series of riddles that, when properly deciphered, will lead you to secret locations where you will find Bogglebang markers. These markers typically take the form of laminated placards containing Clues you will need to record, though some may turn out to be another riddle.

Unlock Riddles With Tasks!
Not all of the Riddles will be made available at the beginning of the Bogglebang. To access the locked riddles, your team must complete a designated number of Tasks (see the master task list for more information). Complete all of the Tasks in a particular challenge to earn hints and other bonuses!

Points for Riddles: The first team to find a hidden placard and reveal its secret phrase will be awarded bonus 10 points.

Note: Never share/post images of the placards and contents of the Clues! Doing so will result in instant disqualification.

PART THREE: PUZZLES

The Master Task List contains a series of Puzzles; to solve the Puzzles, teams must collect and record the Clues displayed on the laminated placards they find upon solving each riddle. There are a total of sixteen laminated placards hidden around the Humboldt Bay area. By collecting the Clues from all sixteen of the hidden placards, teams may use them to put together the missing pieces needed to solve the Puzzles.

Points for Puzzles: The first team to complete each Puzzle will be awarded 10 bonus points. Additionally, each Puzzle completed awards teams a mixed range of points depending on the Puzzle!

Decoder Rings: An undisclosed number of Bogglebang Decoder Rings will be located on the playing course. Their locations will be revealed to teams by triggering any one of a number of hidden access points found within the Master Task List. PART FOUR:
THE BOGGLEBANG 2026
COSTUMED DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT

Nine Tasks in the 2026 Master Task List will include a four course tournament, played while wearing costumes. Over four rounds, teams play independently of each other and are randomly assigned to brackets at the end of each round.

Points for the Tounament: All teams that continue to play will continue to advance and earn points as they are able to repeat the nine tournament tasks at each course, and be rewarded points as they advance through the tournament, whether they win or lose.
